Homestar Runner

Homestar Runner is very hard to explain. It refers to a long-running series of free cartoons created by Matt and Mike Chapman, and also to a prominent character in those cartoons. The "Homestar universe" contains several sub-series within it, including Strong Bad e-mails (in which Strong Bad, a particularly abusive character, answers e-mails from fans), Cheat Commandos (a parody of GI Joe and other 80s cartoons), Teen Girl Squad and other assorted things.

Homestar Runner is a huge influence on AAl and Matt, both in terms of humor content and overall work ethic (AAl particularly admires the Chaps' ability to run a profitable website with no ads). Some people won't watch a Homestar cartoon because they are under the mistaken impression that one must start at the beginning of this 10+ year venture and work their way forward. These people are the true enemies of fun, regardless of what other things you may have heard.

In the grand tradition of the Sarcastic Voyage podcast, these links that were promised over a month ago still do not exist. A "broken promises" article was also reported to being complete^{[citation needed]}but due to the inherent nature of AAl and Matt, this will probably never happen^{[go fuck yourself]}. Flonk tried to fix all the links, but when it didn't work, he decided to have a few cold ones instead.
